I have photographed many seasons of Soccer games and I thought I would try my hand at some Basketball.  You can view PSA soccer pictures online here.

Photographing basketball was quite different from soccer though.  Basketball is played indoors with limited light and depending on the age of the children playing the playing rules are different, so often there were bunches of kids together going after the same ball.  It was a fun learning process, using different flashes and camera settings.

Below are a few pictures from the 2007-2008 school year.

Colten is now 6 months old.  He enjoys showing off his great smile and beautiful blue eyes.  We decided to go with bit simpler and less congested layout this time.  After began to get tired of the fuss with smilling, we let him play and snapped a few more pictures.  Below are just a few pictures from the session.  To view more from this session, click here.

Through WBFJ (Local Christian Radio) I won tickets to the Winter Jam 2008 concert.  Then I won the Winter Jam Super Fan drawing giving me front row seats and full access to back stage.  We met with almost every artist (Pure NRG, Mandisa, Skillet, BarlowGirl and Mercy Me).  NewSong was also there, but we didn't get to meet with them.  It was quite a fun event and to experience it from the front row and back stage was amazing.  We even toured a tour buss and a guided tour of back stage. 

Because the lighting is so different on stage at a concert, I didn't know what to expect when photographing it.  But I think I did real well for photographing my first Concert Event.  Below is just a sample of the nearly 300 pictures I took that evening.

In late January, the Brown's brought their son over for his 5th month photo session.  We tried something different this time and focused on Colten in a basket of stuffed animal toys.  It was fun and we got quite a few good pictures from session.  Below are just a few of those pictures.  You can view more pictures from this session here.

In late December, the Brown's brought their son over for his 4 month photo shoot.  This was fun for Colten and his parents.  They wanted him in a Santa outfit, so we went with a solid black background and I think it turned out real well.  You can view more pictures from this session here.   

In early December I photographed the Fischer family.  We met at their church and used one of the Christmas trees as a background.  It was late in the evening and kids did real well.  Stephanie mentioned that she was interested in some modeling pictures of their daughter Emma.  What a sweet girl, when by her self, she really enjoyed the camera.
