Capture This Photo

The sport of swimming is one of the more difficult sports to photograph, in my opinion.  Difficult because the subject is not always visible or rather partially submerged in the pool water.  The low lighting in most indoor swimming pools is not helpful for the photographer either.  The fast pace and timing the photograph just right is a challenge… pushing you to take even more pictures.

I recently had the opportunity to be the team photographer at a swim meet with Southwest High School at Winston-Salem University.  Below are just a few of the best shots I got.  A better “faster” lens would be helpful to bump up the shutter speed and increase the depth of field.
